Urban Meyer isn’t thinking that the current College Football Playoff is not going to stick. Outside of a couple of teams switching places here and there, the top six have stayed the same. However, Meyer thinks that one team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, is going to crash the top four and make it to the playoff.
Urban Meyer had HIGH praise for Alabama & Jalen Milroe while speaking with On3🐘🙌
“If I’m a betting person, I’m saying Alabama’s in the final four.

Urban Meyer On Alabama And The College Football Playoff
Meyer’s reasoning is based on his opinion of quarterback Jalen Milroe. After struggling at the beginning of the season, Milroe has been on an absolute tear and Meyer compared him to some college football legends.
“If I’m a betting person, I’m saying Alabama’s in the final four. That Milroe, he might be the best athlete in college football. Obviously you’ve got Marvin Harrison Jr. but that’s Percy Harvin, that’s Braxton Miller, that’s Reggie Bush. I actually watch them when I don’t have to, because I really enjoy watching that quarterback.”
Those are some great names to be associated with. Harvin, Miller, and Bush were all electric athletes that people tuned in to watch every week.
Path To The Playoff Is Clear
While Nick Saban’s team has sat in the eighth slot of the rankings for the last three weeks, their path to the playoff is clear. They need to win out and beat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. A two-loss team has never made the playoff and with the number of good teams out there, this year will likely be no different. The Crimson Tide have been playing their best football of the season as of late and they will need to keep it up if they are going to beat the Bulldogs and a couple of other good teams along the way.
Meyer is convinced and if Jalen Milroe and the team keep playing like they have, I would expect to see Nick Saban getting his team ready for another championship run.
