The Miami Dolphins suffered a disappointing loss, and Tyreek Hill was unhappy that the team failed to make the playoffs. The Dolphins struggled against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. Their offense scored 20 points, while their defense surrendered 32.
The Dolphins will hope for a better season next time, but Tyreek Hill made his feelings known in a post-game interview. The wide receiver was frustrated with the loss, and he told reporters that his interest in playing with the team had declined.
“I’m gonna open that door for myself. I’m out, bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I gotta do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there,” Tyreek Hill said.
It’s obvious that Tyreek Hill’s comments went viral as many speculate him to leave Miami. Following Hill’s comments, his teammate Zach Sieler was asked to reflect on the same. Sieler touched upon Hill’s future with the team.
“It’s a knee-jerk reaction. That stuff happens. I don’t know what happened. We need to stay focused this year on making sure everyone’s here, making sure everyone’s on time. We’re focused on winning it all next year,” Sieler said.

Miami Dolphins GM Says Tyreek Hill Did Not Ask For A Trade
The Miami Dolphins general manager, Chris Grier, said that Tyreek Hill did not ask him for a trade directly. While Hill’s statement was clear to leave the Dolphins, things could change over time. Grier was clear about Hill’s situation as he seemed to keep the door open for a trade.
“He never asked for a trade with me,” Grier said.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, and Grier did not say that Tyreek Hill would remain on the squad in 2025. It seems like they have kept the door open for now, but it’s hard to tell. McDaniel was unhappy that Tyreek Hill removed himself from the team during the fourth quarter of their Week 18 game.
“I was very direct with him. He was very honest and it was great terms that we were discussing. Discussed multiple things including without wavering that it’s not acceptable to leave a game and won’t be tolerated in the future, and he embraced accountability,” McDaniel said.
The coach told Tyreek Hill that such behavior would not be tolerated in the future. Time will only tell if Hill will remain or look for a potential trade with the Dolphins.
