‘Great News’: Miami Dolphins Fans Enthusiastic After Offensive Playmaker Returns From Brutal Head Injury

The Miami Dolphins still have an outside chance at the NFL playoffs. With some help from other teams and a 3-0 finish to the year, Miami will punch their ticket to a wild card tilt for the third consecutive season. With the Dolphins needing a stellar finish to the season, they will again lean on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his war chest of weapons. However, last Sunday, the AFC East club lost a rotation pass-catcher to a brutal head injury that resulted in a lengthy suspension of game time. Although scary, wide receiver Grant DuBose is on the right track of recovery heading into his team’s Week 16 battle against the San Francisco 49ers.

On Thursday, DuBose returned to the team facility less than a week after suffering a brutal head injury that caused him to leave last Sunday’s contest on a stretcher. Medical staff tended to DuBose for over ten minutes before being hospitalized in Texas. With the 23-year-old returning to team facilities on Friday, the Miami faithful celebrated the joyous news via Twitter.

According to Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald:

Grant DuBose is in the Dolphins locker room. Shades on.

Last Sunday, Miami Dolphins wideout Grant DuBose’s head bounced off the turf at NRG Stadium in Houston when trying to catch a pass midway through the third quarter. Medical staff tended to DuBose before the Charlotte product departed on a stretcher. Following a trip to a local hospital, where he had movement in all extremities, Miami placed him on Injured Reserve. He finished last Sunday’s contest with one receptions for -2 yards and has just two catches for 11 yards this season. He began his career with the Green Bay Packers, spending most of the 2023 season on the practice squad.

DuBose is not the first Miami Dolphins player to suffer a horrific head injury this season. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, with a long history of concussions, went into the “fencing position” in an early season matchup against Buffalo. He missed the team’s next four games. Nevertheless, the return of DuBose on Friday rejuvenated that Miami fanbase:
