Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback, was rumored to have gained the interest of the Pittsburgh Steelers as per Ryan Burr of the Big Ten Network. The rumors definitely created a wave among NFL insiders and discussion forums. However, Pittsburgh Steelers correspondent, Mark Kaboly recently squashed these rumors remarking that the team is definitely interested in Lawrence in any form.
In the NFL 2024 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars finished third in the AFC South table with four wins and 13 defeats. However, QB Lawrence did not make it to the end of the season after suffering a concussion in a Week 13 loss to the Houston Texans.
“The Steelers in no way imaginable inquired about trading for Trevor Lawrence and have no interest in even reaching out to the Jaguars about acquiring Lawrence, according to a source.” Mark Kaboly tweeted through his X account.

Trevor Lawrence was the very first pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and has been playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars ever since. Before that, Lawrence played college football for the Clemson Tigers from 2018 to 2020. In the most recently concluded NFL season, quarterback Lawrence completed a total of 2,045 yards, scoring 11 touchdowns, along with seven interceptions.

Trevor Lawrence’s Jaguars Complete Jon Robinson’s Interview
On another note, Trevor Lawrence’s team recently completed their interview with former Tennessee Titans General Manager, Jon Robinson. The Jaguars are hoping to get Robinson on their side as their own General Manager.
After the NFL 2024 season concluded, the Jaguars let go of Trent Baalke and immediately started looking for new General Manager candidates. Robinson was not the only person who was interviewed for the position. Brandon Brown, who is the assistant general manager of the New York Giants, was also interviewed on the same day as Robinson.

Before working for the Tennessee Titans as General Manager from 2016 to 2022, Robinson was the Director of player personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2013 to 2015. Robinson not only has experience in being a staff member of NFL teams, but also has experience as a football coach. After graduating from Southeast Missouri State in 1998, Robinson joined the university as a graduate assistant coach.
