On Friday morning, the Jacksonville Jaguars suddenly backtracked their injury report Thursday for Week 11 regarding quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Per the Jaguars injury report released Thursday, Lawrence was not a name mentioned for having an injury.

According to a breaking report by Mike Florio with NBC Sports, the NFL claimed the Jaguars amended their injury report to place Lawrence on it for Week 11:

“the NFL has informed PFT that the Jaguars adjusted their Thursday injury report.

Per the team, Lawrence fully participated in practice, with a knee injury.

The report at the team’s official website, as of this posting, does not yet contain that information.

Lawrence suffered the knee injury in Week 6, against the Colts. He was listed on the report for both Week 7 and Week 8. He was not listed for Week 9 or, until now, Week 10.”

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) walks off the field after the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 11 game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023. The Bengals fell to the Ravens, 34-20.

The report of the Jaguar amending their injury report came not too long after the NFL revealed they were investigating the Cincinnati Bengals for potentially hiding a Joe Burrow wrist injury before Thursday night’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Burrow left the game following the first-half injury.

We’ll see if the NFL will investigate the Jaguars for potentially hiding Lawrence’s injury this season. The Jaguars put up just three points in their loss to the San Francisco 49ers in their previous outing. Lawrence finished with under 200 yards passing and two interceptions in the blowout loss to the 49ers.
