Former college football head coach Tommy Tuberville had strong words for Senator Chuck Schumer this week. The Alabama senator responded to Schumer’s attack on the progress DOGE is making this winter.
During an appearance on Thursday’s episode of MSNBC’s “All In,” Schumer explained why he was willing to cave to allow a GOP funding bill to move forward in order to avoid a government shutdown.
“It’s much, much better not to be in the middle of a shutdown, which could divert people from the No. 1 issue we have against these (expletives) — sorry, these people — which is not only all these cuts, but they’re ruining democracy,” Schumer said via a transcript from The Hill.
Tommy Tuberville calls out Chuck Schumer

Schumer’s decision made him enemy No. 1 with many Democrats, including representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Schumer’s choice of words and actions this week didn’t sit well with Tuberville.
“That’s coming from a lying crook,” Tuberville told Brietbart regarding Schumer calling Republicans “authoritative” and “nasty.” this week. “Ok so this, this guy has no morals whatsoever. He caved. He’s talking all these big things, Mike, and he was getting hammered by his party on his side, and two, three-hour lunches where he was fighting back against the people that’s basically getting ready to run him out of leadership.
“They should have changed leadership back at the change of administration. He has run that party into the ground. They don’t stand for anything… some of our party actually work with them a little bit on some of these crazy things, like the infrastructure bill and all that back a couple of years ago. But at the end of the day, the cream rises to the top, and of course, he’s going to the bottom, because he has very, very little support now from his side when it comes to leadership.”
Schumer is getting heat from all sides. Tuberville, the former head coach of Cincinnati, Texas Tech, and Auburn, added salt to his wound by calling him out for betraying his own party.
