NFL legend Tom Brady was tuned in during Monday’s Rose Bowl to support his former college team, the Michigan Wolverines. Sure enough, he was fired up after Jim Harbaugh’s men pulled off the victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide to make it to the College Football Playoff National Championship.
How hyped up was Brady, you may ask? Well, the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback recorded his reaction on his Instagram Story. And to say that he’s ecstatic would be an understatement.
Brady went absolutely nuts as he shouted in excitement, screaming “Let’s go” while showing the scenes from his TV after the Wolverines won.
The NFL icon also showed himself shirtless as he laughed hysterically, as he obviously couldn’t contain his delight.

No one can blame Tom Brady for being that happy, though. Not only was he a product of the Michigan Wolverines football program, but it has been over two decades now since Brady led the team to an incredible comeback against Alabama as well back in the 2000 Orange Bowl.
Not to mention that it will be the team’s first National Championship berth since 1997. It has been a long wait, and to secure their spot in such a manner was truly exhilarating.
How Did Michigan Wolverines Beat the Alabama Crimson Tide?
Tom Brady’s extra hyped reaction also has a good reason. For those who missed the game, the Michigan Wolverines needed overtime to take down the Alabama Crimson Tide.
It should also be worth noting that a Jake Thaw muffed punt with less than one minute remaining in regulation almost cost them the game.
Fortunately, after striking first in overtime, the Wolverines were able to pull off a key stop against the Crimson Tide. An off-timed snap caused Alabama to botch what would have been a game-tying run on a fourth-and-goal situation in overtime.
In the end, Michigan’s incredible defense saved them from the verge of defeat. Offensively, though, both quarterback JJ McCarthy and running back Blake Corum were sensational as they made sure to keep up with Alabama throughout.
Michigan is now heading to the College Football Playoff National Championship where they will face no. 2 Washington Huskies. The Wolverines are slight favorites to win, but it surely won’t be easy against an offensive threat like Michael Penix Jr.
Sure enough, though, fans can expect Tom Brady to stay tuned in the game. It’s even highly possible that he’ll be in attendance to watch the contest considering how long it has been since the team made it to that stage.
Whatever the case may be, plenty of eyes will be on Michigan as they look to secure another silverware.
