The LSU Tigers coaching staff wants perfection out of the 2024 roster moving forward, and that means better than just “alright”.
Coach Brian Kelly addressed various issues inside of the team following the Texas A&M loss, including the kicking game. Starting kicker Damian Ramos missed three field goals against the Aggies, which contributed to the loss.
Kelly has been critical of Ramos in the past despite the fact that the kicker has been rather great for the LSU Tigers overall. Previously, the coach was seen yelling at the kicker after a field goal attempt was blocked, and Ramos appeared to defend himself. Kelly was also video taped last weekend yelling at the LSU Tigers holder, Peyton Todd, after the backup punter muffed multiple holds for Ramos.

Following the Aggies performance, Kelly made it known to Ramos that the kicker must improve moving forward. This seemed very apparent after the first attempt Ramos took, and made, from 23-yards out against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The kick just barely fit past the upright, with about another football worth of space left between the pylon and the kick of Ramos. For a moment the kick looked as though it would not go in, with the announcers even gasping as the ball was in the air.
Coach Kelly was immediately irate as the camera panned over to him following the kick, with his face pointed towards Ramos. Kelly was seen shaking his head back and forth and yelling the words, “There is no f—— way, there is no f—— way”. The camera then moved away from Kelly before Ramos came close enough to Kelly to face the brunt of the anger.

After a slow start for the LSU Tigers against the Alabama Crimson Tide on both sides of the football, fans are already fed up with coach Brian Kelly.
Since joining the LSU Tigers, Kelly has had an interesting tenure that has included plenty of times where the fans have seemingly given up on the coach. Specifically, last season LSU Tigers fans felt that coach Kelly needed to be held responsible for the awful defense the team displayed.
Already, the reactions are up on social media as LSU Tigers fans are letting everyone hear how they feel about the start.
