The Alabama Crimson Tide finished the 2024 regular season with a 9-3 record. Alabama was in its first year with head coach Kalen DeBoer.

Some people were vouching for them to make the college football playoffs, but the Crimson Tide missed the postseason. Alabama is looking to get back to the postseason in 2025, but they face a daunting schedule. Another mystery with this football program will be who is the starting quarterback for the 2025 season. Ty Simpson could very well be the front runner for the starting job.

College Football Analyst Reveals Shocking Best-Case Scenario For the Alabama Crimson Tide and Head Coach Kalen DeBoer Entering the 2025 Season

Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard catches a pass in a game at Bryant-Denny Stadium during the 2024 season. Expectations will increase for Alabama in Kalen DeBoer’s second season, and Bernard helps lead an improved group of receivers.

Brad Crawford revealed best-case and worst-case scenarios for each SEC team entering the 2025 college football season. He thinks the best-case scenario for Alabama is for them to finish the regular season with a 12-0 record. No one really thinks that Alabama could potentially finish the season with that kind of record, but making the playoffs is within reach despite the brutal schedule.

Crawford said about the Crimson Tide potentially having a 12-0 season,

“Going to put this out there: Everything must go right for the Crimson Tide to go unblemished against this daunting schedule. It’s possible, however, given the roster strengths. The handful of games that will swing either a playoff berth or another forgettable finish come against Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, LSU, Oklahoma and Auburn.”

They will be on the road against Georgia and South Carolina, and it is possible they could lose both games. They will have LSU, Tennessee, and Oklahoma at home, but Auburn will be on the road as well. Going 12-0 with that schedule may not be possible, but the Crimson Tide going 10-2 in DeBoer’s second season is more likely.

The SEC is the most difficult conference in the sport. Also, teams are more likely to not finish a regular season undefeated as well. This program will be looking to get back to the college football playoffs in 2025 and this schedule is not friendly. As long as Alabama wins the games they are supposed to, the 2025 season will not be a disaster for them and DeBoer also.
