The New England Patriots can start signing free agents and trading for players next week, but on Saturday, a prominent trade was made around the NFL when the Cleveland Browns traded for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
New England Patriots Was In On Jeudy
Jeremy Fowler from ESPN tweeted a moment after the trade that one of the teams interested in Jeudy was the New England Patriots.
Became clear this week Denver was warming up to finally trading Jerry Jeudy, who had interest from five or six teams, including #Jets and #Patriots, per source.

The Patriots need receiver help big time since they most likely have the weakest group in the NFL, and Jeudy could’ve come in and helped out whoever would be playing quarterback in New England next season.
Big Offseaon Ahead In New England
The Patriots have a decision to make this offseason: whether to go with Mac Jones as the starter or draft one with the third overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Whoever the signal caller is in 2024 will need an upgrade at the receiver position because the group they currently have isn’t going to cut it.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, Kayshon Boutte, Demario Douglas, and Tyquan Thornton are the only receivers on the roster with Kendrick Bourne to hit free agency. If they let Bourne walk, the team could be in trouble.
New England has to make a trade or a free agent signing to get the receiving group in a position to help out a possible rookie quarterback. Whoever the Patriots take at quarterback with the third pick will have a hard enough time adapting to the pro level, and it will be even harder if they don’t upgrade the receiver position.
The Patriots could not take a quarterback at three and draft the best receiver in Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr., which could help fix the receiving issues, but the quarterback issue will not be fixed.
Whatever New England decides to do next week and in April has to be the right one because sending a rookie quarterback into a fire with no weapons will be very dangerous.
