This past weekend, Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles, which will leave him sidelined for the rest of the season, and backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson came in before he got injured with a finger injury,
Jameis Winston came in for the injured Thompson-Robinson and threw a touchdown pass late in the game when the Browns were down two scores, but it doesn’t sound like Thompson-Robinson will be starting this weekend.

Even though Thompson-Robinson’s finger seems okay, there are reports that Wintson will be starting against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend.
Cleveland Browns Are Making A Mistake

There is no way the Browns should start Winston; instead, they must keep rolling out Thompson-Robinson.
The season is over, and the Browns cannot make the playoffs. They need to tank and try to get the first overall pick, and Thompson-Robinson puts them in the best spot to do that.
Winston is good enough to win a few games, which could hurt the Brown’s chances of getting the first overall pick. Cleveland has to ensure they get the first overall pick this season because they will hold the cards to the entire draft and could trade out of it like the Chicago Bears did two years ago and pick up a ton of draft capital.

The last thing the Browns need is to win games that mean nothing and hurt their draft position. If fans want a quicker way to rebuild the franchise, getting the first pick in the draft could be the thing that starts it.
Cleveland needs to make sure they go 1-16 this season so they lock up the number one pick and either take their quarterback of the future or let someone else come up and take theirs and get a ton of draft capital in return.
