The Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions Both Have 10 Wins For The First Time In 70 Years

The Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions have both have very impressive seasons respectively. They are both franchises that have been on the rise in the NFL over the last few seasons and are both looking to make a strong push in the playoffs this year.

The Browns had another impressive win yesterday against the Houston Texans, led by the resurgent Joe Flacco who is turning back the clocks  looking like his old self. The Lions, on the other hand also got a huge win against the Minnesota Vikings to clinch their division for the first time in 30 years. While the Browns sit behind the Ravens in their division they have been having an amazing year, even with their starting quarterback going down.

For the first time in 70 years of history in the NFL, both the Browns and the Lions will have ten wins in the season. Both of these franchises have come a long way from drafting in the top five year in and year out. As an NFL fan, it’s amazing to see franchises that spent so much time on the bottom of the league now coming alive and have potential to go far in the playoffs.

Who Will Go Farther In The Playoffs, The Detroit Lions or Cleveland Browns?

The Cleveland Browns can really only hope for a good wild card match up with the Baltimore Ravens looking to close up the division. But they can still go further than the division winning Lions. The Browns have one of the best defenses and after a historic game from Amari Cooper, their offense is looking dominant as well.

The Lions on the other hand have been playing well, but if they have to face the high flying Los Angeles Rams in the first round and then the Dallas Cowboys or Philadelphia Eagles after that, they are going to have to play out of their mind to get to the NFC Championship.

If I was a betting man I’d bet on the Browns going further in the NFL playoffs, but in this league anything can happen and its a beautiful sight just to see both of these franchises in the playoffs. You can’t help but feel great for those fan bases that have stuck with these teams for decades

The Browns and Lions have both won 10 games in the same season for just the second time in NFL history.

The Detroit Lions, the losingest team in professional sports, just won a division championship.
