The Chicago Bear’s have struggled in recent years. Over the last three seasons, the Bears finished 7-10 (2023), 3-14 (2022) and 6-11 (2021). However, during the 2024 NFL Free Agency the Chicago Bears have made some major roster changes. Here is a look at some of the possible stars of the 2024 Chicago Bears.
Caleb Williams – Quarterback
Caleb Williams played college football at both Oklahoma and USC and is projected to be the number one pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Williams won the Heisman Trophy in 2022 after throwing for over 4,500 yards and 52 touchdowns, breaking the previous school record. The Chicago Bears have the number one pick in the draft and moving on from Justin Fields could be the move.
Keenan Allen – Wide Receiver
Keenan Allen was picked up by the Chicago Bears late on Thursday after denying a salary cut from the Los Angeles Chargers. Allen is a 6x Pro Bowler and was awarded with the NFL comeback player of the year in 2017. Allen has been a star wide receiver throughout his time in the NFL and recorded over 1,200 yards last season.
D’Andre Swift – Running Back
D’Andre Swift was picked up out of his 2024 NFL free agency by the Chicago Bears. Swift recently played for the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. Swift has been a solid running back since joining the NFL in 2020, and had his best year in 2023. Behind the Eagles offensive line, Swift recorded over 1,000 rushing yards. No matter who is starting at quarterback for the Bears, Swift will be a big help in both the rushing and receiving game in the backfield.
Chicago Bears – Newly Added Defensive Players
The Chicago Bears had a solid defense in 2023. However some changes have been made. The Bears let go of players such as veteran Safety Eddie Jackson, and picked up a couple of solid replacements. Some of the noted pickups include Amen Ogbongbemiga (25 year old linebacker from the Los Angeles Chargers), Jonathan Owens (28 year old defensive back from the Green Bay Packers) and Kevin Byard (30 year old defensive back from the Philadelphia Eagles).
Chicago Bears – Newly Added Offensive Players
The Chicago Bears have not yet determined their decision on who they will play at quarterback, however they have started to make offensive roster changes. Some of these changes include the pickups of Ryan Bates (27 year old offensive lineman from the Buffalo Bills), Coleman Shelton (28 year old offensive lineman from the Los Angeles Rams) and Gerald Everett (29 year old tight end from the Los Angeles Chargers).
