Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have maintained a low profile ever since this year’s Super Bowl, and there’s apparently a strong reason for this. Both Swift and Kelce are reportedly keeping their heads down as a result of actress Blake Lively’s legal proceedings against Justin Baldoni.
Blake Lively, who’s a close friend of Taylor Swift, recently filed a lawsuit against her ‘It Ends With Us’ coactor and director Justin Baldoni, claiming that he sexually assaulted her on the set of the film where she also acts. Baldoni filed a counter lawsuit where he accused not only Lively but also her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of taking over control of the film and running a smear campaign against him.
“All the stuff going on with Blake is another reason Taylor and Travis want to keep to themselves. The last thing Taylor wants is to be dragged into a controversy when she’s trying to destress.” an anonymous source told US Weekly.
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have been thick friends after the actress shared a picture in 2015 from the pop-singer’s ‘Bad Blood’ music video for a L’Oreal Paris campaign. Since then, the two have publicly been seen together, and also hyped each other up as close buddies.
Justin Baldoni shared a number of text messages that Blake Lively sent to him during the production of the film, ‘It Ends With Us’. In those messages, Lively referred to herself as ‘Khaleesi’ from the Game of Thrones series, remarking that just like the character, she too has many dragons, meaning her husband Ryan Reynolds and her friend, Taylor Swift.
After her name was mentioned in Lively’s messages, Taylor Swift seems to have taken a big step back from their friendship. According to sources close to the singer/songwriter, Swift felt ‘used’ by Lively, as can be seen from the messages shared by Baldoni.
Taylor Swift’s BF, Travis Kelce, Blames Media For Poor NFL Performance
On another note, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce who is a tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs, seems to be putting the blame on the media for his shabby performance in the 2024 NFL season. Kelce had one of the worst seasons of his career in the previous season, making crucial mistakes during the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to recent reports, Kelce blames the media for their close attention on him and Swift’s romance throughout his season. He especially blames paparazzi for his disastrous performance in the Super Bowl, after he went out on a double date with Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
