Taylor Swift might have been a major factor for the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Buffalo Bills at the recent AFC Championship game according to former Buffalo Bills wide receiver, Andre Reed. In a recent interview with Jim Rome, Reed discussed the game and also mentioned that the refs seemed to favor the Chiefs over the Bills, and perhaps the presence of Taylor Swift in the stadium would have influenced the win.
Certainly, there were many situations in the game, where the officials seemed to give a pass to the Chiefs, but hindered Buffalo from moving ahead. For instance, KC’s wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s catch seemed to have touched the ground and thus should have been incomplete as per the replay. However, the refs decided to term it complete.
“Because of what’s been going on with the officiating, with the Chiefs, yes… most people would say that those are two plays that could have made a difference in the game. The bottom line is you just got to go out there and not play against the refs, but you kind of are, to a certain point. When you’re going to Kansas City, you got to beat a lot of people, you got to beat the team, you got to beat the fans, you gotta beat the refs, you gotta beat Taylor Swift, you got to beat everybody.” Andre Reed said to Jim Rome.

In a very close game, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills with a final score of 32-29 as Taylor Swift and her family watched from the VIP suite. In that game, QB Patrick Mahomes went for 245 yards, completing 18 passes out of 26 attempts, scoring once, while Kareem Hunt managed 17 carries for 64 yards, with a single score. Xavier Worthy contributed six receptions for 85 yards, scoring once for the Chiefs.
Taylor Swift Sued For $7 Million For Copyright Infringement
On another note, an artist based in Florida, Kimberly Marasco, filed a lawsuit against Taylor Swift stating that several songs from her Eras Tour were copied from her. She also claims that many elements from the music videos of Swift’s albums have been heavily inspired by her own videos. The Taylor Swift albums mentioned in the lawsuit include Folklore, Midnights, Lover, and the Tortured Poets Department.
While Taylor Swift’s own lawyers have filed to dismiss the case since more than half of her claims are reportedly ‘time-barred’, the artist plans to refile the suit again in the future. This is of course not the first time that Swift has been accused of ripping off other artists. One of her biggest hits, ‘Shake It Off’ is believed to have been copied from ‘Playas Gon’ Play’ by the group 3LW, while many others are copied or heavily inspired by other artists.
