Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Bryan McClendon’s Playing and Coaching Career
Bryan McClendon has only coached in the collegiate ranks after spending his playing career with the Georgia Bulldogs from 2002 through 2005, while playing just one season in the NFL with the Chicago Bears in 2006. McClendon held a variety of positions with Georgia as a coach and coordinator following his playing career, one of which included interim head coach in 2015. McClendon left to South Carolina to become the Gamecocks’ offensive coordinator and receivers coach in 2016 before being named to the same role with the Oregon Ducks in 2020. He would leave Oregon for the Miami Hurricanes offensive coordinator position in 2022 before returning to Georgia this past season.
