Tampa Bay Buccaneers Add Corner Help
Tampa Bay and Detroit finalized a trade on Wednesday, the start of the new league year. The Bucs received a third-round pick in exchange for veteran CB Carlton Davis and two sixth-rounders.
Carlton Davis was originally a second-round pick by the Buccaneers in 2018. He played in 76 games over six seasons in Tampa, starting all but one of them. During that span, he recorded 324 tackles, nine interceptions, 73 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
Trading Davis to Detroit left a large void in Tampa’s secondary.

Bryce Hall comes into Tampa as a consistent defender when he is on the field. In 2021, his last full season, he had 79 tackles, .5 a sack, and 16 passes defended. He is not the staple that Carlton was for the Bucs, but he provides depth in an area of need for them.
Tampa Bay hopes to further their playoff run after winning one last year. With Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans returning to the Bucs, the high hopes will continue to climb.
