Star Syracuse football wide receiver Trebor Pena has been incredibly impressive thus far this season for the Orange.
Pena, a former three-star athlete in the 2020 recruiting class, has finally received a chance to prove just how good he is on the football field. Unlike many other players his age, Pena has stuck it out through injuries and transfers into the program and now has earned his starting role.
SU WR Trebor Pena leads the nation in receiving TDs with four through two games.
As @AshleyWenskTV explains, Pena is yet another player on this team that had a prior connection to Fran Brown. 🍊🏈 pic.twitter.com/Jd4oSl1Jr9

After waiting for years, Pena has not let an amazing opportunity slip away from his hands early on. Through two games, the wide receiver has 166 yards and four touchdowns, with two touchdowns in each of the games.
Pena has been nothing short of sensational for the Syracuse football team and consistently finds open space when the team truly needs it. Quarterback Kyle McCord impressed last season and now seems to have found a beautiful connection with Pena on the field.
The Orange are back in action tonight against the Stanford Cardinal, who looked improved this season after winning just three games a year ago.
All eyes are going to be on Pena as he looks to extend his touchdown streak of two to three games against the Cardinal.
Syracuse Football Wide Receiver Trebor Pena Key to Victory Against Stanford
The 2024 season might be only two games long so far for Pena, but it has been nothing short of sensational to watch.
Pena is a do-it-all kind of receiver who can work his way downfield and catch the ball regardless of who is in his way. The 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver might not have the biggest frame, but he has excellent footwork and speed that allow him to consistently find open space.
The Orange and Pena are facing off against Stanford tonight in a game that is now a conference match-up between the two. Stanford hung in the first game of the season against TCU before dropping the game, 34-27. The Horned Frogs recorded 353 yards and two touchdowns through the air against the Stanford defense during the win.
Stanford beat Cal Poly, 41-7, in their last game but allowed 204 yards and a touchdown through the air. Stanford does not have the best defense, and in particular the secondary Stanford has is not particularly talented.
Pena should be able to find plenty of success against Stanford given the current production their secondary has had. Extending his touchdown streak seems very possible against the Stanford defense.
