We all need something to keep us busy until the next week starts, why not read a Top 10 Power Rankings List for Week 3? I’m pretty sure I nailed it this week and there is no way anyone would argue with this, right? As you can see, these rankings are not just made based on record since there are four 2-1 teams that didn’t make this list. I know the anticipation is killing you so leet’s get started!
10) Minnesota Vikings
This was a tough choice for the 10th spot since all of the teams that could be here have their flaws. This Vikings team does have 2 impressive divisional wins already, which does give them a leg up. I think we are going to realize that the loss in Philly on Monday Night isn’t that bad after all. This team just needs to play better on the road and Cousins has to be more consistent if they want to have a real shot at competing for the NFC crown this year.
9) Jacksonville Jaguars
No, this isn’t a mis-print! The Jaguars have made the Week 3 Top 10 Power Rankings list. I can’t believe I am actually typing this team in a Top 10 list that doesn’t include failures, but this is the world we live in now! Pederson has done a heck of a job with this team and they are playing well on both sides of the ball right now. The Jaguars are giving up only 12.6 points/game thru 3 weeks. They have played the Commanders, Colts, and Chargers so it’s not like they are playing the bottom of the barrel. They have a balanced attack on offense as we have seen great improvement from their #1 pick Trevor Lawrence. This team is a not to be taken lightly anymore!
8) Green Bay Packers
I still don’t trust this team with the lack of weapons at their disposal on the outside. They pulled out a low scoring win at Tampa this weekend, but the Bucs are down almost every offensive weapon to injury. It was still a good win, but this offense will need to show more to be the same Packers team we have come to know these last few seasons. I think this defense will struggle more when they play the better offenses as you saw in Week 1 vs the Vikings.
7) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I still think this team will move up as the season goes along due to their injury woes right now. When they have a healthy Mike Evans, Godwin, and Julio on the outside, it will change everything. Brady is declining as everyone can see, but he is still good enough to put up points when they all come back. This defense continues to show that it is the strength of the team right now. With a healthy roster, this team could easily be in the Top 5 of the power rankings by season’s end.
6) Los Angeles Rams
It has not always been pretty for the Super Bowl Champs, but it’s to be expected coming off a championship. It didn’t help that Stafford is still working back from a back injury in the offseason. They have started 2-1, and could have a 2 game lead in the division already if they are able to beat the 49ers this weekend. They will need more out of Allen Robinson as he had some miscues last week and hasn’t really gotten going yet. This defense has all the makings of being dominant again and I think you will see that more and more as the season progresses.
5) Baltimore Ravens
Some people may be surprised to see them this high on my power rankings. This team is 1 awful quarter away from being 3-0. Yes, their pass defense is a little suspect, but they are dominating on the offensive end. The Ravens are averaging 33 points/game thru three weeks. Lamar is the front-runner for MVP right now. If they can get healthier and shore up that pass defense a little bit, then this is a team that could wreak havoc on teams as we move along.
4) Kansas City Chiefs
What a dud of a performance in Indianapolis! I expected it as I had the Colts ML as my best bet. I don’t think this loss is as bad as people think. This was a sandwich game for the Chiefs. They played their divisional rival Chargers in a close game the week before, then go to play Brady and the Bucs next weekend. It’s hard for them to match the intensity of the Colts. The Colts were desperate for a win and it was their home opener. They also had Pittman and Darius Leonard back for this game. This Chiefs team will be just fine.
3) Miami Dolphins
I was wrong about this Dolphins team as they have proven that they are one of the best teams in the league. I’m still not fully convinced that they are the best team in this league yet though. It was a nice home win for the Dolphins, but the Bills dominated this game with 497 yards to only 212 for the Dolphins. The Bills were massively short-handed in the secondary and lost some guys to heat illnesses throughout the game. The Bills just couldn’t punch it in on a few drives including one drive that went 17 plays covering 8 minutes and stalled on the 2 yard line. It will be interesting to see how the Dolphins play next week in the cold weather at Cincinnati.
2) Philadelphia Eagles
I was very close to putting them in the top spot this week. This Eagles team is loaded up and down the roster. They have a complete team and it starts in the trenches where they impose their will on their opponents. Jalen Hurts is quickly becoming a topic of conversation when it comes to the MVP race. He is using his weapons very well, while the offensive line continues to give him great pockets to throw. The run defense and Secondary are dominating as well. This team is the real deal!

1) Buffalo Bills
Don’t over-react to their tight loss in Miami. This team is still the best team in the league. As mentioned above, they were very short handed and had to battle the blazing heat when they are used to frigid temperatures. With all of that said, they still more than doubled the Dolphins yardage on Sunday. This team will be just fine and needs to get healthy in the secondary. The Bills are still my favorite to win the Super Bowl after 3 weeks so they get my #1 spot in this week’s Power Rankings!
