Shedeur Sanders, while keen on playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, may not see this dream come to fruition since draft moves can be pretty unexpected. With the 2025 NFL draft commencing in a few hours, the Pittsburgh Steelers general manager, Omar Khan, recently shed light on whether the team would be ready to move up the list just to ensure they grab Sanders.
In a recent press conference, Khan admitted that the team had no intention of moving around their current position in their draft. He also gave a disclaimer that their plans might suddenly change, based on whether they have acquired two more starting quarterbacks for their roster or not.
“Staying put or moving back is a bigger option for us. You never know. We go to camp with four quarterbacks. Right now, we have two on the roster. All options are on the table on how we acquire those last two.” Omar Khan said to reporters in the recent press conference.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are adamant about bringing in two more quarterbacks for their locker room in the upcoming draft. Of course, Shedeur Sanders will be a splendid choice for the team, and the quarterback himself has confessed his desire to play for the Steelers someday. Another quarterback that the Steelers have hoped to acquire is none other than veteran Aaron Rodgers. However, Rodgers has not given any positive response to the team.

Shedeur Sanders Continued To Be Slandered Ahead Of Draft
It seems like almost every other coach has it out for Shedeur Sanders. With the 2025 NFL draft just right around the corner, the youngest son of Deion Sanders is facing constant criticism and trolling for various aspects of his personality and also his football skills. Recently, Tom Pelissero from the NFL Network shared quotes from various sources, all targeting and mocking Shedeur Sanders.
“The worst formal interview I’ve ever been in my life. He’s so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates … .But the biggest thing is, he’s not that good.” an unnamed assistant coach said about Shedeur Sanders as quoted by Tom Pelissero.

While numerous scouts and analysts have trolled Sanders, there are still numerous NFL gurus who are siding with the young talent. One of the top names who has been a cheerleader for Sanders right from the start is Skip Bayless. Bayless recently tweeted that Sanders is about to become one of the biggest stars in the NFL.
