North Carolina Tar Heels football head coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, turned heads Tuesday night during an NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs game between the Carolina Hurricanes and the New Jersey Devils at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The NHL even shared a message for the couple with a post on Instagram.
“@billbelichick and Jordon Hudson (@jordon) are taking in the @canes game tonight! 👋 #StanleyCup,” the post read.

Fans react to NHL’s post about Bill Belichick, girlfriend, during Devils-Hurricanes

However, many fans didn’t seem very pleased about the pair’s presence in the game based on the reactions the NHL’s post got. Plenty of comments also poked fun at Belichick having a relationship with a much younger woman.
The former New England Patriots head coach is 73 years old, while Hudson, a former Bridgewater State University cheerleader, is only 24.
Here are just some of the comments that post received:
“So nice that he is spending a night with his daughter!”
“Didn’t know it was Take Your Granddaughter to a game night”
“My favorite part of this game was when we all booed him and he left promptly ❤️”
“So sweet of her to take her grandad to the game with her.”
“Every single Canes fan in the arena booed as loud as they could when they put him on the screen 😂 hated everywhere”
“Yikes. Hold onto your wallet Billy.”
“Sugar Daddy is at the hockey game.😂”
As for the hockey game itself, the Hurricanes defeated New Jersey, 3-1, to go up 2-0 in the first-round series featuring those teams. Carolina netminder Frederik Andersen was fantastic between the pipes, as he rejected all but one of 25 shots faced in the contest.
New Jersey scored first in the game, but Carolina eventually went down to work and dominated on both ends of the ice with forward Jordan Martinook chipping in a goal and an assist.
