Despite being one of the top candidates to enter the 2025 NFL draft, Shedeur Sanders is not giving out the right vibe. There seem to be issues swirling around Sanders even before he got drafted into the big leagues. The former Colorado Buffaloes Quarterback is said to be a top-10 pick.
However, there’s not much of positivity going on about Sanders and his steps to joining the NFL. Several think he’s got recognition that other QB’s didn’t and many feel he doesn’t deserve it. Recently, former New York Jets scout Daniel Kelly shed light on an incident. Kelly said that Sanders got into a verbal confrontation with a ball boy.
“Imagine an NFL team entrusting their franchise to a quarterback who got into a verbal confrontation with a ball boy. Shedeur Sanders is a PR disaster waiting to happen. Nobody is going to be able to say, ‘We didn’t see this coming,” Kelly said.

Sanders was previously criticized by Kelly for not participating in the physical drills at the scouting sessions.
Daniel Kelly Labels Shedeur Sanders As Immature And Aggressive
Daniel Kelly has been one of Sanders’ harshest critics. Over the years, he’s called out Sanders for his performance and mainly called him out for his attitude. Kelly labeled Sanders and an immature and passive aggressive hothead.
“An immature, passive aggressive hothead. An NFL practice squad talent with a Hall of Fame name. He has a suitcase full of red flags. Sanders has decent arm strength good behind-the-line-of-scrimmage mobility. It’s never hating, it’s evaluating,” Daniel Kelly said.
Kelly has been open about Shedeur Sanders and he never holds back from speaking what’s on his mind. The former scout also mentioned that he’s received huge backlash and several abusive messages of social media for calling out Sanders. The worst part was that Kelly also received death threats on X.
“My wife can’t believe some of the stuff I’ve showed her,” Kelly said about the death threats.
As for Sanders, he’s surely going to make it to the big league with or without any help. His numbers with the Buffaloes were not too bad, but there are rumors of him not being on the top-10 list. Many feel that Sanders has not shown significant interest and he’s just playing it out with the hopes that he will be picked one way or the other. The other Quarterbacks seem to have a better shot than Sanders for now.
