Ryan Clark, who defended former college football star Shedeur Sanders, is “brain dead and lying,” or at least according to analyst and critic Jason Whitlock.
In one of the recent episodes of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock blasted former NFL star Ryan Clark over his take on the ultimate draft fate of former college star Shedeur Sanders. Unfortunately, unlike what was initially expected, the young Sanders was not part of the first round draft.
This did not sit well with Clark, who called out racism over the outcome. Whitlock, however, blasted Clark’s take on the matter.
“Ryan Clark is brain-dead and a liar,” Whitlock said. “And there, this is the problem when you do sports talk or any type of discussion without any resistance. When you play a three-man weave, when you play seven on seven football, it’s not real football. Someone needed to say, and you know, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder, they’re not going to say this to Ryan.”
“You know why there were no anonymous comments about Johnny Manzel and Baker Mayfield for the most part? Because they’re white and you didn’t need anonymity. You can say whatever you want about them and people did. Colin Cowherd enhanced his brand attacking Baker Mayfield relentlessly. Everybody’s free to talk about Baker’s cockiness, attitude problems. There was no need for anonymity.”

Former Steelers Legend Defends Shedeur Sanders
Ryan Clark has been vocal about Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft snub, criticizing the media and anonymous sources for what he sees as an unfair portrayal of Sanders.
In an episode of “The Pivot Podcast,” Clark expressed frustration over the negative narratives surrounding Sanders, arguing that the quarterback has been subjected to character attacks that other players, like Johnny Manziel and Baker Mayfield, did not face.

Additionally, Clark took to social media to call out the anonymous negative reports about Sanders, arguing that they were “purposeful and personal”. He emphasized that Sanders’ draft stock should be based on his physical abilities, not unchecked personal attacks.
“My biggest problem with (negative media) is obviously the anonymity of all of the comments and all of the quotes and all of the things that we have had reported,” a frustrated Clark said. “Recently, with this quote from an offensive coach who says he’s ‘entitled,’ who says he ‘puts the blame on teammates.’ I watched Shedeur Sanders get damn near killed for two years at Colorado. And I never saw him berate a lineman on the sideline. I never saw him cuss or scream at a coach.”
“Shedeur Sanders has never been arrested!” Clark added. “Shedeur Sanders has never been in trouble. Shedeur Sanders has never misused his name to the point of taking advantage of people.”
