The Seattle Seahawks have been playing well throughout the season and are looking to make it back to the postseason. It seems like they are interested in adding talent before the NFL Trade Deadline on Tuesday as they have agreed to a deal with free agent defensive end Frank Clark.
The deal is pending a physical later today and once he passes that, the Seahawks immediately will bolster their squad.

Frank Clark has a boatload of experience with 59.5 career sacks, 15 forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and two interceptions throughout his career. It never is a bad thing to add a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl Champion to your roster and that is what the Seahawks did.
Clark was a free agent after being released by the Denver Broncos earlier in the season. He is returning to where his career began as he spent the first four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Clark signed a one-year, $5.45 million contract during the offseason with the Broncos and was released on Oct. 14. This season, he only has appeared in two games and played 36 defensive snaps, recording just a pair of tackles.
What will the Seattle Seahawks defense look like going forward?
The Seattle Seahawks have been able to get to the quarterback often as they are fifth in the NFL with 23 total sacks as a team. Adding another pass-rusher like Frank Clark is only going to lengthen their rotation as he can come off the edge as well as play some linebacker.
This also helps with the 3-4 defense as having a front with Frank Clark is going to be spectacular. One thing this defense has is a lot of young talent but having a veteran pass-rusher will only help the team get better. They have an excellent secondary and forcing the opposing quarterback to rush more with their decision-making is going to do wonders for the team.
The defense ranks 12th in the league allowing 19.7 points per game and with another solid defender, this takes pressure off the rest of the team. Expect Pete Carroll to ease Clark into the lineup after not playing much this season but this is a great pickup for only money ahead of a potentially aggressive seller’s market at the NFL Trade Deadline.
This defense has their work cut out for them as they face the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles. This is where they can drop out of the NFC Wild Card and NFC West race or simply rise above the 49ers.
There is no loss for the Seahawks in this deal and has the potential for incredible upside.
