Haynes committed to the Huskies as a two-star recruit for the 2018 season. He would have a solid career with the team, playing 51 games and starting 49, playing every snap at right guard.
Haynes played 12 games, starting 12 in 2023, with 12 pressures, ten hurries, one hit, one sack allowed, an 80.2 PFF Grade, an 80.1 run block win rate, and an 82.5 pass block win rate per PFF. The Associated Press named him to their All-American Third Team.
Lance Zierlein did a scouting report on Christian Haynes

Lance Zierlein of NFL Network did a scouting report on him.
“Four-year starter and team captain who is sturdy at the point of attack. Haynes plays with football intelligence and sees every snap as a mandate to move opponents and finish blocks.
“His draft slotting could be affected by a lack of length and being limited to one position, but his determined playing style counters those factors. He’s not overly rangy but wipes out targets on pulling blocks and is capable in space, and in pass protection.
“The hand usage can get sloppy, allowing opponents to slip away from him, and he has a tendency to do too much grabbing. All things considered, he might outplay his draft slotting and become a solid NFL starter.”
Christian Haynes will compete against Anthony Bradford for the starting RG spot

Haynes will compete against Bradford for the starting RG job this Summer.
Bradford started his rookie season as the backup guard, but injuries to Phil Haynes allowed him to play 14 games, start ten, and play 659 snaps at RG. He did not play well, allowing 28 pressures, 22 hurries, five hits, one sack, and a 51.7 PFF Grade. He also had a 58.5 run block grade and a 38.9 pass block grade per PFF.
Who will win the starting RG spot?
