The San Francisco 49ers are going into the 2024 season with the same expectations they had last season: to win a Super Bowl.

Their 2023 season ended in absolute heartbreak after a three point loss in the the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.  Getting back to the big dance won’t be easy, and now one of their star players will be facing an uphill battle just to get back to normal.

Kittle and his team are still feeling the pain of losing in the Super Bowl last season. They’re looking to get back to the big game and win it all this year.

Right now, the 49ers are favored in each and every single one of their regular season games.

While the run last season was amazing, Kittle played through a core muscle injury. He didn’t let it show on the field, but he had to undergo surgery this offseason to repair the injury.

In a recent interview on “Bussin’ With The Boys,” Kittle opened up about what he went through following his offseason surgery. He stated that he last 30 pounds throughout the process.

“I couldn’t lift. I couldn’t do any upper body because of my shoulder and my rib, and I couldn’t do lower body because of my core surgery. I didn’t lift from the Super Bowl until like almost mid-March. I went a month without doing anything.“

Thankfully, he is healing and should be good to go for the upcoming 2024 season. The San Francisco 49ers will need him at 100 percent to have a shot at winning the Super Bowl.

During the 2023 campaign, Kittle showed off just how important he is for the 49ers. He ended up catching 65 passes for 1,020 yards and six touchdowns.

Yeah core muscle injuries are one of the worst, hope Kittle can get back at least half of that before the season starts

Wowzers he was already on the skinny side. Hopefully he can add muscles and weight back

He’ll endure another injury during the season. It’s just what it is at this point.
