Jake Moody Makes Longest Field Goal in Super Bowl History

Early in the second quarter, Moody attempted and made a 55-yard field goal. Because he made this field goal, it is now the longest made field goal in Super Bowl history. For those of you who are curious, the original record was 54 yards. That was set by Buffalo Bills kicker Steve Christie during Super Bowl XXVIII.

So far, points have come at a premium during Super Bowl LVIII. There have just been three points scored with less than nine minutes to go in the second quarter. Ironically, this field goal has resulted in the only points during Super Bowl LVIII at the time of writing. We will have to see how long each of these defenses can hold up before the offenses get let loose.
