The San Francisco 49ers extended a starter
The San Francisco 49ers are figuring out a few things with their roster for the 2023 season. The 49ers were a healthy quarterback away from competing with the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC Championship. They’ll have a couple of quarterbacks trying to mend up during the offseason. But one position is out of the way as the 49ers signed a starting special teams player and gave him a pretty sweet deal.
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the 49ers extended long snapper Taybor Pepper for three seasons. The deal will include $1.5 million guaranteed. Pepper attached a video of the announcement on his Twitter feed.

The 28-year-old long snapper was an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State. He was initially signed by the Green Bay Packers in 2017. Pepper has been with the 49ers since the 2020 season. The 49ers are paying off Pepper for his hard work with the team.
