Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks quarterback, and his longtime girlfriend Katie Hoofnagle have purchased a new home, from the looks of a recent Instagram post. On Sunday, Hoofnagle posted a picture of Darnold looking out of the window while she holds up a pair of keys.
Darnold has been linked to Hoofnagle since 2023, when their relationship went public. However, the two prefer to keep their romantic relationship pretty private, with Hoofnagle sharing updates and pictures of them both now and then.
Sam Darnold will be playing for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2025 NFL season after the team brought him in during the offseason. Darnold started his NFL career with the New York Jets who selected him as the third pick in the very first round of the 2018 draft. Before the league, the quarterback played for the USC Trojans from 2015 to 2017 before entering the draft.
Earlier last month, Sam Darnold signed a $100.5 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks for a period of three years. The Seahawks finished second in the NFC West in the 2024 NFL season winning ten games and losing seven.
Seattle played their very last game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams, winning 30-25. However, the win was too late and the Seattle Seahawks were shown the door out of the tournament. The team will be leaning on Sam Darnold to improve their record in the upcoming NFL season. In the previous season, the quarterback threw for a total of 4,319 yards, scoring 35 touchdowns, while managing 12 interceptions for the Minnesota Vikings.
Sam Darnold Will Need To Prove Himself This Year
While Sam Darnold seems to have struck gold with his deal with the Seattle Seahawks, the team is still not fully convinced. In his contract, the Seahawks have included a clause which makes it easy for the team to quit on the QB after a period of one year. It looks like the Seahawks want to try out Darnold for a single year first, and then make their long-term decision about him.
Of course, Sam Darnold is not the only quarterback that the Seattle Seahawks have on their roster. The team also has Sam Howell and Drew Lock in their locker room. Darnold is definitely the veteran among the three and will need to show the other two the ropes. It is still unclear as to who the starting quarterback for the Seahawks will be in the upcoming season.
