Offensive lineman Sadarius Hutcherson signed with the Memphis Showboats on February 15. Sadarius Hutcherson played in the NFL and joins a team looking to compete during the 2023 season. The Memphis Showboats landed a talented offensive lineman who can help them win games. The Showboats kick their season off on April 15 against the Philidelphia Stars.

Sadarius Hutcherson played basketball and football at Huntingdon High School in Tennessee. Hutcherson was ranked the 21st-best player in Tennessee according to 247 Sports. Hutcherson spent his collegiate career at the University of South Carolina. Hutcherson played from 2016-20 and was a great athlete. Hutcherson was named 2nd-team All-SEC by Pro Football Focus during his senior season. According to Sports Writer Phil Steele Hutcherson was a third-team All-SEC performer.
Hutcherson was vital to South Carolina’s running game in 2020. South Carolina running back Kevin Harris rushed for 1,000 yards. South Carolina hadn’t rushed for 1,000 yards since 2013. Hutcherson played tackle and guard at South Carolina.

Hutcherson went undrafted in 2021 and eventually signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Unfortunately, Hutcherson tore his ACL in a 2021 preseason game against the Bengals. Hutcherson was waived by the Buccanneers on August 29, 2022. The Bucs’ offensive line had depth and Hutcherson wasn’t going to be a starter on the offensive line.
Sadarius Hutcherson’s story is unique for many reasons. Despite having a strong collegiate career Hutcherson didn’t have success in the NFL. Hutcherson now has a chance to prove why he was a dominant offensive lineman in college. If Hutcherson plays well for the Showboats he has a chance to return to the NFL.
