The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to take a meeting with a nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback shortly. The Raiders are exploring several options for the starting quarterback job for the upcoming season.
The Las Vegas Raiders need a QB
The Raiders have been suggested as a possible trading partner with the Chicago Bears for Justin Fields. There is some speculation the Raiders could trade up in the first round to take J.J. McCarthy.
Head coach Antonio Pierce doesn’t want a band-aid, but he could add a veteran who could serve as a temporary fix.
The Raiders could add nine-time Pro Bowl QB Russell Wilson
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Raiders are expected to meet with Russell Wilson, whom the Denver Broncos recently cut.
Steelers and Giants either have met or are meeting with Russell Wilson. There are expected to be more, including possibly the Raiders, per sources. https://t.co/i9TWkVmFHp

Wilson could return to the AFC West in 2024
Wison has had a busy week since the Broncos cut him to spread out their dead cap hit over the next two seasons. He’s meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.
Wilson would be a cheap quarterback option for the Raiders. Since the Broncos are still signing his checks for the 2024 season, the Raiders can sign him for the league minimum. The Raiders could sign Wilson this offseason and take a rookie quarterback for the long term in April’s draft.
