On Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens announced they made a couple of important roster moves during training camp. They’re signing a veteran wide receiver and activated their third-round pick off the NFI list.
The Baltimore Ravens activated their third-round draft pick
Per a statement by the Ravens, the team activated outside linebacker Adisa Issac from the non-football injury list:
Isaac was the Ravens’ third-round pick in April after a senior season at Penn State where he recorded 7.5 sacks and 37 tackles, including 16 tackles for loss.
Head Coach John Harbaugh said in May that Isaac was dealing with a hamstring issue, and he did not participate in rookie minicamp, Organized Team Activities, and mandatory minicamp.
Isaac will join the outside linebacker group at practice and compete for playing time. Odafe Oweh, who is having an outstanding training camp, and Kyle Van Noy, who had nine sacks last season, are back to lead the outside linebacker rotation.
Russell Gage signs with the Ravens
In an announcement via X, the Ravens announced they signed veteran receiver Russell Gage.
The Atlanta Falcons drafted Gage in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022. The former LSU standout has appeared in 74 games and started in 13. He has 244 receptions for 2,491 yards and 14 touchdowns. He caught 51 passes on 70 targets for 426 yards and five touchdowns with the Buccaneers last season.
