The Atlanta Falcons traded for more wide receiver help on Thursday. The Falcons have added several new pieces for the 2024 offense in new head coach Raheem Morris’ first year.
The Atlanta Falcons traded with the Arizona Cardinals
They scored the most significant free agency acquisition when they signed Kirk Cousins to a four-year deal worth $180 million. They also added wide receivers Darnell Mooney and tight end Charlie Woerner this week. However, the Falcons are going all out to give their offense as much firepower as possible for Cousins.
The Falcons traded for Rondale Moore
The Falcons traded quarterback Desmond Ridder to the Arizona Cardinals. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cardinals are sending wide receiver Rondale Moore in return for Ridder.

Moore was a Day 2 draft pick
The Cardinals selected Moore in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. During his first three seasons in the league, Moore had 121 receptions for 1,068 yards and three touchdowns. Moore’s numbers could have been better if Kyler Murray stayed healthy. But the Cardinals had instability at quarterback the previous few seasons.
Moore is expected to be the Cardinals WR3 on the depth chart before the 2024 season. He will be expected to take a leap in year four to match the second-round billing the Cardinals thought he could be in the league.
The Falcons needed to improve their wide record corps for the 2024 season. They did that by trading for Moore.
