Rob Gronkowski was apparently almost convinced by Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, to come out of retirement. ‘Gronk’ is still one of the most legendary tight ends in the NFL, and officially retired from the game in 2018, but returned to play two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gronkowski recently admitted on ‘Dudes on Dudes’ that Josh Allen asked him to join him in the Buffalo Bills squad. However, the move never happened according to the legendary tight-end. Gronkowski played for a total of 11 seasons with the NFL, most of which he played for the New England Patriots.
“We were talking at the tight-end university, and he was trying to recruit me and was like, ‘Come on, come out of retirement, come to Buffalo, we would do big things,’ and I’m like, we would do big things but it just never happened.” Rob Gronkowski said on ‘Dudes on Dudes’.
Rob Gronkowski was the 42nd pick in the 2nd round of the 2010 NFL Draft and was selected by the New England Patriots, with whom he played from 2010 to 2018. In his entire career, Gronkowski completed a total of 621 receptions for 9,286 yards, with 92 receiving touchdowns.
Rob Gronkowski Discusses How He Will Be Celebrating The Super Bowl
On another note, Rob Gronkowski and former New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees, discussed what they will be doing during the upcoming Super Bowl on January 9th. In a special interview with Rolling Stone, Gronk remarked that he and Brees would be exploring the city and also eating wings and making messes.
Gronkowski also remembered one of the biggest messes he made during a certain football party. That was during the AFC Championship Game and apparently, there were plenty of desserts at Gronk’s house. The tight end was reportedly tipsy and threw the cake into the ceiling where the frosting got stuck to it.
Furthermore, Gronk also shared many tips and food hacks that he likes. For instance, the tight end loves dips and advises readers to get a dipping sauce tray to dip wings. When it comes to the best dipping sauce for wings, Gronk loves blue cheese. He also went on to give a shout-out to ‘Rootie’s’ in Buffalo where he says the best blue cheese is from. In addition to blue cheese, Gronk also seems to have a favorite for guacamole and loves to dip his Tostito chips into it.
