On June 3, it was announced that Ohio State would wear their all-gray uniforms against the Iowa Hawkeyes in a week 6 matchup on October 5, 2024. This will be the second time the Buckeyes wear their gray uniforms after wearing them in a 38-3 victory over the Michigan State Spartans last season.
Ohio State Unveiled Gray Uniforms Last Year

Last offseason the Ohio State Buckeyes made the exciting reveal of their new all gray alternate uniforms. It was announced that the uniforms would be worn on November 11, 2023, against the Michigan State Spartans. At the time it was unclear if the uniforms would be worn beyond the 2023 season.
In 2021 Ohio State debuted their all-red color rush uniforms that were worn in a primetime matchup against the Penn State Nittany Lions. Ohio State fans loved the uniforms and were hoping that it would be added to the Buckeyes wardrobe rotation as an alternate, however, we have not seen them since. Fans were fearful that the gray uniforms would also disappear, fortunately, that will not be the case in 2024.
Up until this point, there has not been another alternate uniform announced for the 2024 season.

Ohio State Will Host the Iowa Hawkeyes on October 5, 2024

In a clash of two of the most productive Big 10 teams of the last 25 years, this game will be one of the best home matchups the Buckeyes will have this season. This will make the ‘gray-out’ one of the best atmospheres at Ohio Stadium this fall.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are 16-3 all time vs the Iowa Hawkeyes with an average margin of victory of 31 points. In games played at Ohio Stadium Ohio State is 8-1 against Iowa, with that lone loss coming in a one-score game on November 2, 1991.
The spread for this matchup is not available yet as it is still very early, but the Buckeyes will surely be favored in this one.
