Ravens’ Returning Players Give Team A Much Needed Boost Going Into 2022

The Baltimore Ravens had multiple players suffer injuries that cut their season short in 2021. However, this year most of them have returned healthy.  This includes star defensive back Marlon Humphrey. He had an outstanding season with the ravens in 2020 where he was top 7 in the NFL for giving up fewest targets. As well as 3rd in solo tackles with outstanding 76.

    Who else is returning?

J.K. Dobbins: 'Put It on Me and Let's Go'

The Ravens also get back Running back JK Dobbins who many think is a frontrunner for comeback player of the year.  Dobbins, drafted out of Ohio state University, has been a breath of fresh air for the Ravens Running game. In past years they relied heavily on their own superstar QB Lamar Jackson.  For most of the running as he was a dual threat on the field.

The Ravens’ signing of CB Kyle Fuller, the former bears defensive star, was a big boost as well.   Fuler was tied for league leading interceptions just a few years ago. So what does all this mean for the Ravens?   I strongly see them as contenders for years to come under there outstanding Head coach John Harbaugh.

    In Conclusion:

The Ravens have a favorable strength of schedule in 2022 (ranked 23rd toughest in the NFL). Will Lamar Jackson go back to his MVP ways?  That remains to be seen as the Ravens run game will likely improve.  However with the lack of a true number one receiver, the offense will be tested constantly.
