The Seattle Seahawks improved their depth chart at quarterback ahead of training camp later this summer. The Seahawks were looking to boost the position in head coach Mike Macdonald’s first season with the team.
The Seattle Seahawks needed depth at QB
The Seahawks lost veteran backup Drew Lock in free agency when he signed with the New York Giants. The Giants signed Lock with the expectation he would compete with Daniel Jones for the starting job. With the Seahawks losing a starting-caliber quarterback, they traded for Sam Howell from the Washington Commanders.
The Seahawks weren’t done there.
The Seahawks signed PJ Walker
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Seahawks signed PJ Walker. The Indianapolis Colts signed Walker as an undrafted free agent before the 2017 season. At 29, he’s played for the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, and Cleveland Browns.
Walker has appeared in 21 games and started in nine. He’s 185/339 passing for 2,135 yards, six touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He has a 5-4 record as a starter.

PJ Walker can sling it, but he’s gonna throw to the other team too.
