Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown is perhaps the most interesting person to follow on social media. It has gotten to the point where you never know what he is going to post next. Now, it appears Brown is going after a legendary player he used to be teammates with.
Latest Tweet Targets J.J. Watt
Antonio Brown shared an old photo that one NFL insider posted weeks ago. The photo contained a picture of Antonio Brown and J.J. Watt back when they were teammates at Central Michigan. Believe it or not, Watt was a tight end back then.
Brown used this as an opportunity to take a shot at J.J. Watt. So, what did he say? Here is his exact caption:
“Before bro went Steroid Crazy @CtespnN #CTESPN” -Antonio Brown
Watt certainly put up some numbers during his 12-year career. He had 114.5 sacks, 27 forced fumbles, and two interceptions. These numbers all but secured his spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day.
Pittsburgh Steelers Connection
While J.J. Watt never played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, there is a connection with this franchise. Brown spent the majority of his career with Pittsburgh before things began to fall apart. He remained with the Steelers until the end of the 2018 NFL season.
On top of this, J.J.’s brother, T.J. Watt, has made a name for himself with the Steelers. There were two years of overlap with Brown. T.J. Watt made his NFL debut in 2017.
Fans React to Steroid Allegations
NFL fans are used to Brown making wild posts by now. As a result, some fans are acting accordingly. Here are some of the most notable responses to Brown’s post:
“This is very damning and a terrible look for J.J. Many of us long suspected that he and his brothers used/use performance enhancing drugs. Now, we have a teammate saying publicly that at least one of the brothers has abused steroids. This is going to be big news.”
“A teammate that is VERY WELL KNOWN to have CTE. Take what AB says with a grain of salt.”
“But then what happened to JJ?”
“Defamation lawsuit incoming @JJWatt”
“Boy ya squash all jumbled like some funky lettuce in a week old salad”
“Damn calling him out”
“This man is not a real person lol”
“Most people think AB is talking about JJ, he’s really talking about himself”
