The Pittsburgh Steelers have been shopping for wide receiver help since this spring, and with the NFL trade deadline less than two weeks away, on November 5, general manager Omar Khan and Co. risk coming up empty handed.

Prior to Thursday night, the Steelers had been viewed as a frontrunner to acquire Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowl wide receiver Cooper Kupp, as reports surfaced this week that the Rams might be open to trading the veteran playmaker.

The Los Angeles Rams Might Not Trade Cooper Kupp

Following Los Angeles’ 30-20 victory at SoFi Stadium on Thursday night, that saw Kupp catch a touchdown pass in his return from a hamstring injury, the Rams might consider standing pat. Especially given the fact that there isn’t a runaway favorite in the NFC West, at the moment.

Rams head coach Sean McVay went so far to suggest that he doesn’t expect Kupp to be dealt.

Meanwhile, in Pittsburgh, Steelers fans didn’t waste any time venting their frustrations across social media.

Cooper Kupp rumored to go to the Steelers. Of course they were gonna make sure he won or the Rams would not be a playoff contender. They need that stadium to keep bringing in money. https://t.co/pUG9qlMeXP

So now that the Steelers will not get Cooper Kupp, I would not mind Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders on this team.

He’s 6’2, he’s 27 years old turning 28 in a couple of weeks, and he can create separation as he’s one of the better receivers in that department. pic.twitter.com/GZtBVHHZJb

Watching this game it’s painfully obvious the NFL doesn’t want the Steelers to get Cooper Kupp. This is brutal

Now that Cooper Kupp is likely out of the #Steelers WR Sweepstakes, my wish list includes the following names:

    1) Christian Kirk
    2) Adam Thielen
    3) Darius Slayton
    4) any warm body
    5) Mike Williams
