Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni will have a lot to prove in his fourth season with the franchise. He has made the playoffs in all three years as head coach. Philadelphia was 10-1 last season before finishing with an 11-6 record.
The Eagles were well on their way to winning the NFC East Title last season until they collapsed late in the season. The Dallas Cowboys won the NFC East with a 12-5 record. Philadelphia lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card Round.

They will have a lot of talent returning on both sides of the football this season. General manager Howie Roseman made adjustments to the team through NFL free agency and also through the 2024 NFL Draft. The Eagles might be the best team on paper in the NFC East this season.
Bleacher Report Lists Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni As 1 of 5 Head Coaches Who Is On the Hot Seat

Alex Kay of Bleacher Report believes that Sirianni will be feeling the heat during the 2024 season. Eagles fans wanted him fired after last season’s collapse. Instead, they brought in new coordinators for this season to maybe fix the coaching issues. Kay said:
“The Philadelphia Eagles have experienced some incredible highs and crushing lows in the two short years that head coach Nick Sirianni has been at the helm.
After a middling 9-8 campaign to open his tenure, the franchise turned red-hot during Sirianni’s second season. The Eagles tied the Kansas City Chiefs for the league’s best record at 14-3 and eventually met their AFC counterparts in the Super Bowl. After coming up just short of bringing a Lombardi Trophy to the City of Brotherly Love for the second time in a half-decade, the Eagles went into 2023 with hopes of sustained success.
Although Sirianni and Co. appeared to be cruising towards back-to-back Super Bowl berths following a league-best 10-1 start, things quickly went off the rails. The team would win just one more game the rest of the year—narrowly beating the lowly New York Giants starting their third-string quarterback—and were embarrassed by the underdog Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.
This complete collapse led to speculation that Sirianni would be removed, but the team ultimately elected to forge ahead by letting go off both his top coordinators instead.”
If the Eagles were to miss the playoffs this season, not only could Nick Sirianni be out of a job for the franchise, but general manager Howie Roseman could be out of a job. Roseman has signed hefty contracts to star players and that would be one major mess for the next general manager to clean up.

One of the things that Sirianni has done well when he has been with the Philadelphia Eagles over the last few years is develop Jalen Hurts into a star quarterback. With the Eagles adding running back Saquon Barkley in the offseason, it hopes to add another dimension to this offense.
