The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to get back on track in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks. Philadelphia has lost their last two games heading into their Monday Night Football matchup. However, snapping this losing streak just got tougher thanks to this update on a key defensive player.
CB Darius Slay Ruled Out
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Philadelphia Eagles CB Darius Slay will be out for their Monday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks. Slay is dealing with a knee injury and he just had surgery on his knee. However, sources report that he will be available for the Eagles by the end of the regular season.
Slay has two interceptions in the 2023 NFL season. He returned one of them for a touchdown. Slay also has 14 pass deflections and 48 solo tackles this season.
What This Means for the Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles will have to find a way to defeat the Seahawks without their star cornerback. This becomes a tougher task because Seattle has a star wide receiver on their side. That WR is D.K. Metcalf.
What has Metcalf done this season? He has 864 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions. Now, Philadelphia will have to find another way to contain him.
