The Philadelphia Eagles are on the verge of becoming an NFC Wild Card team with either a loss or a Dallas Cowboys win today but they might have bigger issues than playoff seeding. Wide receiver AJ Brown went to make a catch in the later stages of the first quarter against the New York Giants and he fubled after Nick McCloud knocked the ball out. However, AJ Brown stayed on the ground and clutched his right knee.

Brown seemingly got hurt on a hip drop tackle, similar to how Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews suffered his season-ending injury. Brown is officially listed as questionable to return with a right knee injury. So far this season, Brown has proven to be one of the top wide receivers in football as he has 105 receptions on 157 targets for 1,447 yards (13.8 yards per catch) with seven touchdown receptions. It will be interesting to see if he is able to return to today’s game.
Can the Philadelphia Eagles survive a significant injury to AJ Brown?
The Philadelphia Eagles are in a bad position for an 11-5 team that has clinched a playoff spot. They need to have all their playmakers healthy to have a chance at a playoff run and if AJ Brown is forced to miss any time or potentially the playoffs with a knee injury, that will be massive.
This Eagles team already has been dealing with a less-than-stellar defensive performance and they need the offense to be clicking on all cylinders. This Eagles team is averaging 26.4 points per game entering today and that is seventh in the league. However, losing AJ Brown would mean DeVonta Smith would take over as the WR1 and make the offense a lot less lethal.
