The 2-2 Philadelphia Eagles host the 1-4 Cleveland Browns at Lincoln Financial Field for their sixth regular season game of the 2024 season in a crucial get-right game. The Eagles are coming off a much-needed BYE week, and the bye couldn’t have come at a better time since injuries piled up on their receiving corps. Their best receiver hasn’t played since their season opener.
The Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl WR1 has been nursing a hamstring injury for quite some time
3-Time Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown popped up on the injury report the week of their second game because he was experiencing tightness in his hamstring. Brown did not play in Week 2 and told ESPN’s Lisa Salters before the game that he would “miss a couple of weeks.” The Eagles would rule him out for Weeks 3 and 4.
Brown wasn’t the only receiver to miss time. The Eagles placed Britain Covey on injured reserve before Week 4 with a shoulder injury, and DeVonta Smith missed Week 4 with a concussion. Jalen Hurts completed 70 out of 98 pass attempts for 652 yards, two passing touchdowns, and two interceptions, with a 1-2 record in their last three games. Hurts relied heavily on tight end Dallas Goedert.
He will play
A.J. Brown participated in Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s practice as a full participant. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Philadelphia Eagles released their final injury report of the week on Friday, removed Brown from their injury report, and he will play against the Cleveland Browns. Not only will he play, but DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson will also play.
#Eagles WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith and RT Lane Johnson are all off the injury report and will play Sunday vs. Cleveland.
