The Kansas City Chiefs have officially listed their injury report and Patrick Mahomes was listed on there. The Chiefs cannot move from the third seed in the AFC Playoffs whether they win or lose in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers so Andy Reid’s team has decided to have multiple players ruled out.
Chiefs are listing Isiah Pacheco, Nick Bolton, Trent McDuffie, George Karlaftis, and Mike Danna as questionable for Sunday’s game vs the Chargers.
Patrick Mahomes is doubtful but not expected to play.
Rashee Rice, L'Jarius Sneed, Kadarius Toney, and Donovan Smith are out.

With Patrick Mahomes expected not to play in this game due to rest and listed with an ankle injury after practicing all week in full, the team is currently listed as a 3.5-point road underdog. Mahomes now will finish the regular season going 401-of-597 (67.2 completion percentage) for 4,183 yards with 27 touchdowns to 14 interceptions throughout the year.
This Kansas City Chiefs team is lined up to face the sixth seed in the conference inside of Arrowhead Stadium.
Can Patrick Mahomes Lead the Kansas City Chiefs to Another Super Bowl?
The Kansas City Chiefs have been doing well this season as they won the AFC West for another season but things are not going swimmingly for the offense. Despite people writing the team off, they are fifth in the league in passing yards (252.7 yards per game) and 12th in points per game (22.4). However, it is the defense that has done the most work for the team this season, something we do not associate the Chiefs with.
In terms of the offense though, the Kansas City Chiefs need their receivers to create separation and not have dropped passes. Wide receivers Rashee Rice and Kadarius Toney have been struggling with dropped passes as they each have at least five drops.
If the wide receivers can improve from now until the AFC Wild Card Round, Patrick Mahomes could be in a great position to succeed throughout the playoffs. With four wins needed to become back-to-back Super Bowl Champions, the receiving core needs to step up.
It also would help tight end Travis Kelce, who has been shut down as of late as teams are doubling him and not respecting what the Kansas City Chiefs receivers could do. Coach Andy Reid has shown the ability to create plays and if this Chiefs team can score 20 points, it’s going to be difficult to defeat them.
