Patrick Mahomes’ Mood After Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl Berth Is Just Perfect

The Chiefs were heavy underdogs in the game, with the Ravens largely favored to dominate the contest behind MVP favorite Lamar Jackson. In fact, Kansas City was only given a 36.4 percent chance to win.

Sure enough, Mahomes and Co. defied expectations. The Ravens’ offense struggled big time, with the team only able to score one touchdown. The Chiefs, meanwhile, tallied 17 points in the first half and never looked back for the 17-10 victory.

Naturally, Mahomes was extra hyped over their win. And he didn’t hide his delight on social media as he shared his mood following the AFC Championship.

The Chiefs QB shared a gif on X (formerly Twitter) to express how ecstatic he is. In another post, he laughed at a meme joking how he and Travis Kelce will look like once they head to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl.

Mahomes has every right to celebrate. He earned it. When everyone else is doubting him and the Chiefs, especially with their poor offense this 2023, they proved time and time again why they are the reigning Super Bowl champions.

They know how to win when it matters most, and at this point, no one can question that anymore.

Patrick Mahomes Speaks Out on Kansas City Chiefs’ Underdog Labels

For what it’s worth, in his postgame interview on the field, Patrick Mahomes also couldn’t help but fire back at the underdog labels they were given throughout the season and playoffs.

Considering their offensive struggles–particularly the poor performance of the wide receivers–it’s not a surprise why many were quick to count out the Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes, however, made sure to emphasize why that’s a mistake in the first place.

“It’s been a heck of a year. We’ve come into a lot of games as underdogs this season, but we never feel like underdogs. We have a lot of guys on this team that have played in a lot of big games, an today we were able to make it happen. Now we are in the Super Bowl, and we aren’t done yet. We are ready to go out to Vegas and play a great team and see if we can go out and win an another Super Bowl,” Mahomes shared.

The Chiefs are once again considered underdogs when they play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. But given what has happened so far, it might be bad news for the Niners.
