Patrick Mahomes is once again the king of the mountain after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to another Super Bowl victory at the San Francisco 49ers’ expense.
As the entire Chiefs organization is partying, he decided that this was the perfect time to let everyone know what he thought of the season and his personal belief in what the Chiefs could achieve with him under center.
Patrick Mahomes reveals he always believed Chiefs could win Super Bowl LVIII
After the Super Bowl mania died down, Patrick Mahomes had the opportunity to collect his thoughts on the game and the season overall. It was a season that saw them fall out of favor with analysts and bookies after stumbling out of the gate. Their overtime victory at Allegiant Stadium is the perfect metaphor to the underdog status they had to fight throughout the season.
The 28-year-old Texas Tech alum felt that it was only apt that he confirmed his belief in his team by posting on his social media account that the Lombardi trophy was always going back to Arrowhead Stadium.

Mahomes has the right to gloat after leading his Chiefs to one of the most incredible Super Bowl wins in recent memory. The fact that they overcame a tough San Francisco squad only amplifies how important the win they just experienced was.
Can the Kansas City Chiefs do it all over again?
The question now in Patrick Mahomes’ mind is whether the Chiefs can actually manage a three-peat. The NFL is a tough league, and not everyone can pull off a back-to-back like they did.
If they want to make it back to the big dance next year, they must prioritize improving their wide receiver room. Travis Kelce is turning 35 by the 2025 postseason, and he needs help during the biggest of games. They need another wideout to ease the burden on Kelce and Rashee Rice.
Another area they must focus on is their defense. The Chiefs were uncharacteristically solid on the defensive end when Mahomes and the offense kept on misfiring. If they want to even have a sniff of the Lombardi in 2025, they must preserve as much of their defensive unit as possible.
However, Patrick Mahomes made it clear that he trusts his team and will do anything to make it happen. As long as he’s slinging the passes, the Chiefs will always be a tough opponent to crack.
