The Green Bay Packers were able to pull off a hard-fought victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 13. While the game went the Packers’ way, fans and players were angry over the way the game was officiated. All of that while also getting the benefit of a horrible missed pass interference on the Packers on the final drive of the game.
Prior to that missed call, the Packers were hit with a brutal penalty by NFL officials. On a play where Patrick Mahomes was scrambling and had established himself as a runner, safety Jonathan Owens hit Mahomes prior to the quarterback stepping out of bounds. It was a legal hit, but was flagged for a dead-ball personal foul and 15 yards.
Following the win, media and the players have been very vocal about how bad the officiating was. It has become a trend in many games.
Packers Star De’Vondre Campbell Brutally Rips Into NFL Officiating
Add one Packers’ star linebacker to the group of people who are getting fed up by the NFL officials constantly missing calls. He took to Twitter after the game and did not hold back on his thoughts.
“They tried to do everything they could to make sure the Chiefs won but guess what PACKERS WIN AGAIN.”
They tried to do everything they could to make sure the Chiefs won but guess what PACKERS WIN AGAIN 🤣🤣

Needless to say, Campbell will likely be looking at a fine in the mail from the NFL in the near future.
While it’s easy to laugh at all the outrage towards the referees, there is a serious problem in the NFL. Over the last couple of years, but especially this season, calls have been missed time and time again. It has become so bad that it’s hard to even laugh about it at this point.
Players are calling for changes to be made, the fans want change, and of course the media has been all over missed calls. The Packers may have won the game, but they do have a reason to be upset. Then again, so do the Chiefs.
There is simply no excuse for professional referees to be missing such obvious calls. At the very least, the NFL needs to do something where teams can challenge or hold referees accountable for their mistakes during the game. Too many teams have lost games due to blown calls.
It will be interesting to see if the NFL does anything moving forward about the growing number of complaints and the brutal number of mistakes being made.
