The Oregon Ducks had a 13-1 record last season in college football. Oregon won the BIG10 Conference and were 13-0 entering the playoffs.
The Ducks were the number one seed in the playoffs and then they lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the postseason. Dan Lanning has done a terrific job recruiting players for this football program. The Ducks will be around for a long time.
Oregon Ducks Head Coach Dan Lanning Receives New Contract
According to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, Lanning and Oregon have agreed to a new six-year contract averaging $11 million per season. Lanning is now a Top 5 head coach in college football. This is a big deal for the Ducks.
They have been a very successful college football program despite not winning a National Title this century. Oregon feels like they are close to winning a National Title, despite being in a very tough BIG10 Conference.

It would be a surprise if Lanning did not win a National Championship with the Ducks. The BIG10 Conference has won the last two National Titles with the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes. If Michigan or Ohio State don’t win it all next season, Oregon has a chance to be the third different BIG10 team in three seasons to win it all.
