Ohio State might not have reached one of its big goals this season, beating Michigan, but it still has everything in front of it regarding winning it all.

Even though fans are mad they couldn’t beat their biggest rival, there is still a good chance they bring home a national championship.

Ohio State Buckeyes fans get upset after linebacker Arvell Reese (20) was ejected for targeting hit on Nebraska Cornhuskers wide receiver Jahmal Banks (4) during the fourth quarter of their game at Ohio Stadium on Oct 26, 2024, in Columbus.

With the transfer portal opening next week, some Buckeye players will not be around to play in the playoffs since they need to enter the portal early to find their new home. One of them is a former four-star wide receiver.

Accroding to Hayes Fawcett from On3.com, “Ohio State WR Jayden Ballard plans to enter the Transfer Portal.”

Nov 11, 2023; Columbus, Ohio, USA; OSU Head Coach Ryan Day cheers Ohio State Buckeyes offensive lineman Josh Simmons (71) as he returns to the bench during the NCAA football game against Michigan State University at Ohio Stadium.

Ballard was part of the 2021 recruiting class and was ranked by 247sports.com as the fourth-best wide receiver.

The 6-foot-3 wide receiver never got going in four seasons in Columbus, getting passed up on the depth chart by almost every wide receiver who came in the last few years. Now, he will find a new place to play next season.

A handful more Buckeyes will enter the portal over the next few days, and if Ryan Day does leave this offseason, they may lose even more players.
