One of the most productive position groups in College Football over the last couple of years has been the Ohio State wide receiver room. This unit has seen four first-round picks in the last three years. Brian Hartline and the Buckeyes staff have been active in looking for the next great wide receiver to add to the room by offering two future wide receivers.

On May 20, Ohio State offered three-star wide receiver Madden Williams of St. John Bosco in Bellflower, California. Williams is the 40th-ranked receiver in the 2026 recruiting class according to 247sports.

Madden Williams is a big target on the outside measuring in at 6’2 185 pounds. On film and in 7-on-7 competitions, he has excelled at making contested catches. Williams also displays a great jumping ability at his size creating a unique catch radius.

Williams has lined up on the outside and in the slot and proved he is a good enough route runner to get open across different matchups and coverages. Although Williams is listed as a three-star, he has all the tools to develop into a solid wide receiver in the Brian Hartline system.

Ohio State won 35-16.

On May 21, Ohio State offered 2027 wide receiver Wesley Winn out of Archbishop Riordan in San Francisco, California. Rankings for the 2027 class are not official yet, but Winn has accumulated nearly forty offers at the division one level.

Wesley Winn measures in at 5’9 155 pounds and is listed as an athlete on his recruiting profile. Winn is reportedly an athletic freak at his age, he runs a 4.41-second forty-yard dash and has a 39-inch vertical jump, according to his Hudl page.

Winn thrived as a slot receiver showing an ability to create separation against linebackers, safeties, and cornerbacks. He also showed the ability to create after the catch and was often used in the screen and RPO game, which will translate directly to Chip Kelly’s offense.
